Manufacturer’s Compliance to Package Integrity Testing

January 27th, 2012

Custom Needle Sterlization, Spinal Needles, Biopsy Needles: Hart ...Integrity is very important, not just to a person but also to a product’s packaging and that’s why there is such a thing called package integrity testing. In order for one packaged product to maintain its sterility to the very end, there has to be a microbial barrier to make that possible. And if you are a manufacturer of medical products and supplies, you must comply with the standards of package design – that despite the challenge in distribution, handling or storage, the integrity of the packing or package is always ensured.

Therefore, again, as a manufacturer must make sure that the packaging of the product and the methods of packaging are never compromised. Package integrity testing defines the thin line between a packaging with microbial barrier properties and none. As a manufacturer of pharmaceutical and medical products, you have the responsibility to comply and pass this test at all times.
