Montana Fishing During the Spring Months Can Be Some of the Best of the Year

January 12th, 2012

The Big Sky state has long been recognized as producing some of the world’s top wild trout rivers. Montana fishing can be at its best early in the fishing season in the spring months. Fishing during the spring months is so good because the trout haven’t seen flies in many months. In addition some of the most productive insect hatches of the season occur in April and May. Insects like the blue winged olive, caddis and others generate easy targets for hungry trout. The Mother’s Day caddis in late April and early May often produces some of the most explosive surface action of the year. The hatches can be so thick that they can completely cover large eddies with mats of bugs. The best time to fish in the spring is in the late morning and early afternoon after the water warms up and helps to make the insects more active.

Vacation Ideas: Hostels

January 4th, 2012

When you want to organise the cheapest tours for you, especially when it comes to round trips, then it is the best to stick with the hostels. Although there are hostels that only receive students holding student cards, there are several hostels, which do not have these standards and receive any paying guests. Living in hostels are the best vacation ideas for low budget travellers. The hostels accommodate you in bedrooms up to 8-10 beds but more and more offer also single and double rooms as accommodation for those who do not want to stay with the others. Hostels are the best solutions when you are visiting multiple cities as most of them are located downtown, which means a definite extra for sightseeing. There are several hostel booking systems, only mind the fees that come with the reservations and try to reach a hostel on their own site rather than book and pay extra.

Memories from Our Stay in Arhanes

October 19th, 2011

All winter long we are thinking back to our last holidays in Crete and our stay in arhanes, a village on the island. It was a nice holiday because we were a good company, with friends that know each other for years now and it was the perfect mix. But it was also the area that has a lot of surprises for us. We managed to stay on a perfect house owned by an old couple of Greeks who would do everything to serve us and keep us satisfied with our stay. The village overall was magical, with clean roads, friendly people cheap but traditional and high quality food, smiling faces in banks and post offices and a lot of sunshine and green fields and gardens. We had our parties and our barbeques and plenty of drinks to go around for everybody. What else could we possibly ask from our holiday?

I figured that this would be a great way for me to be able to take some time away from my stressful job and just relax for a little while. So when I was looking for somewhere nice to travel to for my holiday, one of the first places that I thought about that I might want to look into checking out was Newquay, but first I wanted to see what kind of travel deals I could find there. So in order to figure that out, I went online to the website http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/newquay/s/21150/fa/find.squery where I was able to find some great Newquay holiday accommodation. I ended up getting a great deal and saved a lot of money by going here.

Can’t Fail to Go to Kenya

July 14th, 2011

The last time I told my sister Tina about my social life, she only blamed me for being a coward. My only problem was to find some one I can be with for a life time because I was tired of being abused by those other foolish girls. So today I decide to take this Kenya safari and the only reason for this is to find a man not from my usual country German but in Africa. Am very tired of being the topic in class therefore I will tell my sister to escort me on this important safari and then the other thing is that after getting to Kenya, we will go in Masai Mara to see the residents of the place and among them, I know we will not miss out seeing the leopards, cheetahs, Zebras, Elephants, Lions, Hippos, birds, bats, giraffes, Impalas, just to mention but a few.

Great Travel Planning Idea

June 23rd, 2011

I took the family on a vacation through the South last fall, and found a great way to add in some amazing scenic locations which in some cases were only slightly off the main roads. I started out looking at nice photos of various landscapes in tourist pamphlets but I soon realized that perhaps if I looked up the photographer’s own website I might find a lot more scenic places to visit. A couple of clicks later and I was looking at some stunning landscape photography from the exact area I wanted to travel. All I needed next was a lazy Sunday afternoon at home with the wife and kids looking at these great photos and basically making a list of the places we wanted to see for ourselves based on this guy’s online gallery. And let me tell you it worked out great. Not only did we have a fantastic vacation but everyone in the office loved my nature photos and the boss even agreed to put one in a frame in the board room! Perhaps a new career beckons?

Border Town of Corozal

June 12th, 2011

If you travel on a Belize vacation by way of Mexico, the first town you will enter when crossing the border is Corozal. It is a cozy beachside town that was a big sugar producer in the past. Now it’s well known for an area called Free Zone that is home to a reduced tax area with casinos, hotels and shopping arcades. There is also a kind of a suburban type housing development that expats favor when buying homes in Belize. As a matter of fact, in 2010 the AARP rated Corozal the top retirement destination. There are a few Mayan ruins in the town itself, including Santa Rita and Cerrosbut. And Corozal is only 9 miles from Chetumal, which is in Quintana Roo, a state in Mexico where you can see more Mayan treasures. There is a local market in the downtown area full of fresh fruits and handmade items, and a few resorts can be seen along the coastline. Corozal is a pleasant first stop in Belize if you find yourself driving south from Mexico.

Rotterdam Apartments Offer a Good Option for Travelers

May 28th, 2011

When my boyfriend and I decided to take a two-week vacation in the Netherlands, we decided to look at short stay apartments rather than paying for a hotel. When we’ve traveled to other cities, both in the states and overseas, we’ve found that staying in an apartment has a lot of advantages. It’s generally a cost-effective choice for a longer stay, plus you can feel more like you are really living in the city and immerse yourself in a neighborhood and connect with the locals. We also like having a full kitchen and being able to cook for ourselves, since that’s another way to save money for most meals, and then we splurge on several really nice local meals. There were lots of Rotterdam apartments to choose from, and Rotterdam, which is the second largest city in the Netherlands and the largest port city in Europe, turned out to be a great place to stay. There was plenty to explore in the city itself, and it also offers a great network of trains and waterways, which allowed us to take day trips and explore the surrounding countryside.

Going to a Cottage!

May 8th, 2011

We’re going to be living in a cottage we found by searching ‘self catering cottage Cornwall‘ online. We’re bringing our own personal chef too, our friend Ian. Ian is a great cook so we have made him our cook for the cottage. We promised that we would clean up after him. After all, you can’t really cook if you don’t have clean cookware. That is why I’m going to be making a big effort to make sure there are plenty of pots and pans for him to use! Maybe he’ll cook something special for us at midnight. I better make sure he is well stocked for that. We have also agreed to pay for our share of the food. It’s going to be divided between the five of us, but we’re paying for Ian because he is the cook. I guess when you know how to cook, you get free things!

Escaping to Incredible Ithaca

April 18th, 2011

If you fancy getting away from it all, somewhere a little bit off the beaten track, Ithaca holidays is what I would recommend to you. Ithaca is a small island of only 45 square miles with a little more than three thousand inhabitants. It is located in the Ionian Sea in Greece and it was marvellous to go somewhere tranquil for a change. We decided to go self catering which was more convenient for us as we have two small children and were most impressed with the luxury of our villa. Days for us began early with an al fresco breakfast while we planned the activities for the day ahead. We usually spent the day walking around the island taking in the glorious scenery. I got to try out my new camera and managed to take hundreds of photos, much to the annoyance of my wife. Each evening we would have a family barbecue outside to top off a wonderful day.

Finding the Right Accommodation in Budapest

April 5th, 2011

Once searching for accommodation, you’ve got a wide selection of options. From youth hostels to 5 star Budapest hotels, from vacation rentals to campings, every traveller can find a good one. Rates differ depending on value and place. You can always find special prices on the market, mainly in out of season. A pretty interesting sight of the region is the aquatic amusement park Aquaworld. It is actually simply reachable using a bus service which links the area with the innercity. It happens to be a perfect daily program for youthful and old with so many pools, slides and health and fitness features. The café tradition of the city dates back to many years. Most of the famous cafés, where earlier famous people came together are still there. You can bump into many new ones as well, where young people chat hours long. Parking your car is not very simple. On the public places you have to pay a toll Monday to Friday, but also on Saturday and Sunday it can be really hard to bump into an empty place in the centre. The community garages often offer empty places, nevertheless they may be sometimes somewhat pricey.

Charleston, South Carolina

March 25th, 2011

The city of Charleston is definitely a city of genial grace and slow charm, which is exactly how Rhett Butler once described it. The city though bigger today has somehow preserved a gracious elegance. It has a well preserved district of double galleried antebellum houses, historic churches, and some exquisite gardens, some of which are open in springtime during Charleston’s Festival of Houses and Gardens. South Carolina’s sunny, benign climate lets flowers bloom year round and the air is perpetually redolent with the aroma of wsiteria and jasmine. Beginning in January, the city and nearby Magnolia and Middleton Place plantations are ablase with white pink and blood red camellias, azaleas and oleander, which have been planted against t a backdrop of native magnolias, live oaks and palmettos. Above is the gret oak at Drayton Hall, another famous estate. Laid out in 1680 on a peninsula between the Ashley and Cooper Rivers, Charleston was once a busy port, derving its wealth from export s of rice, indigio and cotton. Today there is still old world charm in Charleston but also modern hotels, shops and five star restaurants serving local delicacies such as she crab soup. The Catfish Row of Porgy and Bess is here and so is the annual world class Spoleto arts festival. Charleston is young and old, provincial and owordly yet never it seems a contradiction. As a real estate professional who specializes in summerville sc real estate, mount pleasant sc real estate, goose creek real estate, downtown charleston real estate, james island real estate, and johns island real estate, I can say first hand that Charleston is a great place to live and in sought after by many people in the southeast as well as from around the country for all unique living experience it provides to its residents.
